What is the Artera Demo Environment?

Throughout your Artera implementation, your Project Manager will collaborate with your team to validate all product functionality and workflows within a dedicated demo environment. To ensure data security while maintaining testing integrity, this environment utilizes a non-production EMR connection rather than real patient data or your live Production EMR. For information on how to log into your Artera production environment, click here.

Following go-live, your team will retain access to the demo environment to test new Artera features as you scale. To get started, simply add your team as users; we recommend using their production email addresses to keep logins consistent across both environments. Click here for information on how to add Artera Users.

Logging in: Required Password

Artera strives to maintain robust security standards for protecting the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of your data. We hold ourselves to the highest standards for safeguarding your organization and the patients you serve. This starts with the Artera login process.

Each user is required to log in to Artera demo using a password. This password must be at least 8 characters long and include at least 3 of the following:

  • 1 lower case letter (a-z)
  • 1 upper case letter (A-Z)
  • 1 number (0–9)
  • 1 special character (e.g !@#)

How to Create a Password

The information below applies to those logging into Artera demo for the first time:

  1. Visit https://demo-app.well-health-app.com/login/staff
  2. Enter your work email address within the "Staff Member Sign In" window and select Continue.
  3. You will be routed to the Create Your Password screen to create a new password.
  4. Once your password is created and meets all requirements, select Continue.
  5. You are then asked to verify your email address.
  6. Check your email for a message from Artera (Subject: Verify your email). Open the email and select Confirm Account.

  7. You are then routed back to the Artera login page to log in with your email and password.

Logging into Artera Demo with a Password (After Password Creation)

Once a password is saved, you will need to enter it each time you log into Artera demo by following the steps below:

  1. Visit https://demo-app.well-health-app.com/login/staff
  2. Enter your work email address within the "Staff Member Sign In" window and select Continue.
  3. You are then routed to the "Enter your password" page where you must enter your Artera password and select Continue.

  4. At this point, you will be routed to the Artera demo environment.
Delete

NOTE: If you enter in the incorrect password 5 times, you will be locked out and prevented from trying to log in again for the next 24 hours.

Resetting Forgotten Password

To reset your Artera demo password, follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://demo-app.well-health-app.com/login/staff
  2. Enter your work email address within the "Staff Member Sign In" window and select Continue.
  3. Select the Forgot Password? link on the "Enter your password" window.
  4. Enter your work email address to receive the instructions for resetting your password, then select Continue.
  5. An email will be sent with instructions to reset your password. If you did not receive the email, select Resend Email.
  6. Open the email from Artera (Subject: Reset your password) and select Reset Password to confirm the password change request.
  7. You will then be routed to a Reset your Password page to create a new password.
NOTE: You cannot reuse any previous Artera passwords.
  8. After resetting your password, a success message will appear. Select Back to Artera Messenger to login with your password.

Password Expiration

You will need to reset your Artera demo password every X amount of days, where X is the number of days your Artera team has configured for the Password Expiration Default Setting in demo. To reset your expired Artera password, follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://demo-app.well-health-app.com/login/staff
  2. Enter your work email address within the "Staff Member Sign In" window and select Continue.
  3. If your password has expired, a Password has expired window will appear indicating that instructions to reset your password have been sent to your email. If you did not receive this email, select Resend Email.

  4. Open the email from Artera (Subject: Reset your password) and select Reset Password.
  5. You are then routed to a Reset your Password page to create a new password.
NOTE: You cannot reuse any previous Artera passwords.
  6. After resetting your password, a success message will appear. Select Back to Artera Messenger to login with your new password.

Optional: Enabling Multi-factor Authentication

While enabling Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is optional for an Enterprise, it does provide an extra layer of sign-in security that requires Artera users to provide additional identity verification in order to access Artera demo.

MFA requires users to submit their standard sign-in credentials (email address and password), in conjunction with a randomized verification code sent to their phone (through text message or via an authenticator app).

How to enable MFA:

  1. Navigate to Default Settings from within the Enterprise Settings menu.
NOTE: This process is restricted to Enterprise Users.
  2. Scroll to the User MultiFactor Authentication (MFA) setting and toggle the setting to Enable MFA.

Which verification methods are available to users?

  1. SMS Notifications
    • Sends the user a one-time code via SMS to their mobile device, which the user then enters into Artera before they can finish logging into demo.
  2. One-Time passwords
    • Allows the user to use an authenticator on their personal device, like Google Authenticator, to generate a one-time password that changes over time and can be entered as the second factor to validate a user's Artera demo account.

NOTE: Once a user chooses a method to authenticate the first time they log into Artera with MFA, that will be the method they authenticate with moving forward.

Logging into Artera with a Password and MFA:

The MFA verification process will vary slightly depending on the verification choice of the user, however, the steps to follow are similar:

FAQs

I do not have a user account for my Artera demo environment, how do I request access?

To gain access to your demo environment, connect with another team member who already has access. They will be able to add you as a new user. If you are having trouble locating a team member with access to demo, please connect with your Customer Success Representative.

How do I create test patients for my Artera demo environment?

Create your test patients in your non-production EMR. Be sure to use fictitious data for all test patients.

  1. Last Name: Each patient must have the last name of "ZTest". This ensures that the test patients flow into Artera correctly for testing. All patients whose last name is not exactly “ZTest” are automatically anonymized, meaning that their information will not appear correctly in demo. This could cause delays in testing.

  2. Cell Phone: Include a valid cell phone number. We recommend using the phone number of someone on your team that will be assisting you with testing in real-time.

  3. Language Preference: If you are supporting translations, set the language preference for the test patient. Click here to learn more about supported translations.

  4. Communication Method: If contact preferences are synced from your system of record to your Artera production environment, set the test patient’s contact preference (call, text, email).

  5. Complete all other patient details with any test data you choose.

How do I schedule test appointments to flow into my Artera demo environment?

  1. Using the test patient(s) you have created, schedule the patient with a provider.

  2. Choose an appointment date and time for the appointment.

  3. Select the Location for the appointment. Ensure that the Location Resource has been mapped to your Artera Practice in demo. If not, submit a Lines and Resources Request to map the Location to the Practice. Within your request, indicate that the Location is to be mapped to your demo environment.
NOTE: There is a 14-day turnaround time for new requests. Click here to learn more.

  4. If relevant, select the Visit Type or Method for the appointment. Click here to learn more about Visit Methods.

We need a line added to demo. How can we request a new line?

To add a line to your demo environment, submit a Lines and Resources Request. In your request, indicate that the line is for your Artera demo environment. NOTE: There is a 14-day turnaround time for new requests.

Does Artera work to ensure that our demo environment always mirrors our production environment

The Artera demo and production environments are separate from each other and are not synchronized. For instance, as your teams add new Practices, Resources, and users in Artera production, those are not automatically synced over into your demo environment. If you would like those added into demo, you must do so manually.

How do I integrate our non-production EMR to our Artera demo environment?

This integration setup is completed during your Artera implementation and remains enabled post go-live. If you are experiencing integration issues, please submit a Support Case with our Customer Support team.

Why am I unable to access Artera Analytics for my demo environment?

Insights and Analytics Plus are not available for Artera demo environments and are only available for production environments.

Additional Resources

If your team needs to add new lines or Resources to the Artera demo environment, be sure to adhere to the same process followed for production environments by submitting the necessary Lines and Resources Requests.
